Registration
All interested parents are required to first register their child. This may be done by filling in and submitting the registration form with the registration fee. (Please see Fee Structure). Candidates are also required to submit their birth certificate and academic records for the year at the time of registration. The lower age limit for admission in the school is 10 years + as on April 1 of the year of joining the school in Grade VI. Similarly, correlation of age and class to which admission is sought is an essential requirement.

GRADES VI – IX
Students applying for admission from grade Vi to IX will be required to take entrance examination. The examination will include English, Mathematics and Hindi. These examinations will be taken on specified Admissions Entrance days, in person or on-line as and when coordinated with the Admissions Officer.
Students and Parents will also be interviewed by senior members of the faculty.
GRADE XI
Students applying for admission to Grade XI before the declaration of the final Grade X Board examination will be required to take entrance examination. The examination will include the following subjects:
- 1. General English – Compulsory for all students
AND
- 2. Science and Mathematics – for students wishing to take Science.
OR
- 3. Mathematics – for students wishing to take Commerce.
OR
- 4. History, Civics & Geography – for students wishing to take Humanities.
Students opting for a mix of subjects from each or two of the above streams may choose any one from above in addition to English.
Students applying for Admissions after the declaration of the Grade X Board examination may not be required to take an entrance test.
Students and Parents will also be interviewed by senior members of the faculty.
These examinations will be taken on specified Admissions Entrance days, in person or on-line as and when coordinated with the Admissions Officer.
- Selected students will be required to pay the Admissions fee, Security fee & Imprest amount to secure their seats within three weeks of being offered a seat at Hopetown Girls’ School.
The Registration Fee is neither adjustable nor refundable and is valid only for the specified academic year. Registration of a child is not a guarantee of her admission.
Note: The School reserves the right to change its Admission’s procedure from time to time without any notice.

Selection Procedure
The results will be compiled strictly on merit and availability of seats. The Admissions Committee will offer seats accordingly. The Admissions Committee is endowed with the right to reject any application without explanation and its decision is final.

Admission Procedure
Parents of children admitted are expected to confirm the admission by paying the Registration and Admission Fee – which is non-refundable.
The remaining fee may be paid in the following installments. (Refer to the fee structure)
In case the school fee is not paid by the stipulated date the school reserves the right to offer the seat to the next suitable candidate.
On admission, candidates will be sent a set of Admissions documents, allotted an Admissions number and placed on the rolls of the school.

Withdrawal Procedure
For New Students
If the student is withdrawn or does not join before the start of the Academic Year i.e 1st of April, the Registration Fee, Admissions Fee and Uniform charges shall be forfeited in favour of the school and the balance will be refunded.
For Old Students
It is mandatory to give three months’ written notice before withdrawing a child at the end of the academic year i.e. 31st March. This implies that 31st December is the last date every year for submitting the withdrawals in case you do not wish your ward to continue for the next academic session. If three months’ written notice is not given, then three months’ fees will be deducted from the security deposit. If a child is withdrawn anytime after 1st April, i.e. after the beginning of an academic year, six months’ fees will be deducted.
Security Refund
A formal letter of request for refund of security is required. Security refunds will be made at the end of November after the school audit.
