IAYP Gold Trek – Har Ki Doon Valley

 In News

A group of twenty-two students accompanied by three teachers went to Har ki Doon Valley from the 25th to 29th April 2019. The students who had qualified for the Silver category in the International Award For Young People(IAYP) went for their Gold category. Har Ki Doon rightly known as ‘the valley of Gods’ is a picturesque valley in Uttarakhand. It was a moderate trek and students showed remarkable grit and determination by trekking for approximately 60 km with their rucksacks in four days. They pitched their own tents each night, supervised the Cook in the kitchen, washed their own dishes and developed a great camaraderie with their peers and teachers. It was a memorable experience and certainly survival of the fittest.

This is the gift of nature, to teach and remind us of life’s lessons. Because once you tune into the natural environment, all the answers are there!!
